Damage/Survive?

...None?

Either it's Searing Flames, which is all-out damage and no survival at all, or E/Mo support caster, which has no damage at all.

What was fun yesterday with 4 elementalist guildies and 2 hero monks, was playing around with the earth magic line.

It was so fun to see a SF team die in 5 sec when we clashed, even the opposing team was wooow'd leading to some compliment pm afterwards.

Then another team (hard fought battle) against blood spike, was long battle with 2 human monks this time but the other team was full human too. We had the same earth build as before, but there spikes didn't do anything, we got a few kills, but was like mentioned before a hard battle, with the other team resigning since they got DP'd and we weren't.

Ok we have our weaknesses too, but doesn't every build have a counter build - thats what makes it balanced. But its always fun to have an experimental build working so great.

So earth and the other lines can be very fun to use.

Since starting in HA recently (but is a guild thing we started, since I was fairly PVE only until now - been playing GW as of 4th july 2005), I have found much fun playing the earth or water ele there.

To expand on lightning hell's post:

You have searing flames.

You have blinding surge eles with draw, orb, and strike, as well as some other utility.

You have prodigy eles with draw, heal party, and either snares, or blind/orb/draw, or both.

You often run gale.

You possibly spec into earth for support, but you probably don't. You might play full warder+sandstorm in HA though.

If this was a question for RA, you might consider:

Elemental Attunement
Air Attunement
Kinetic Armor
Blinding Flash
Aura of Restoration
2 air damage spells
Rez

You have good armor, and the equivalent of a few pips of health regeneration. And you can Blind anybody trying to physically damage you or your teammates.

And you can do a bit of outright damage to the enemy.

In RA, I run a teleway-esque character.

Blinding surge/mind shock, depending on my mood.
Lightning strike
air attunement
blinding flash (if going the mind shock route)/gale (if running surge)
shadow of haste
dark escape
feigned neutrality
rez/another damage skill.

I sometimes drop rez if I don't care about winning, since I mainly just go into to grief the other team with my teleportation powers, because I'm a jerk.

It's more fun in GVG, but if the pugs are full I'll kill some time there.

Teleway makes guild wars still fun.

you can always run an e/d build with two enchants+mystic regeneration..just make sure theres 8 in earth prayers.

example--fire attunement, aura of restoration, mystic regen, searing flames, glowing glaze, liquid flame, steam(water magic, but helps against tanks), and any other skill you need.

great offense, not much in the way of "defense" but definatley good healing.
